Corry Wiens is an award winning director based in Los Angeles. His work lives where story meets grit: emotion you can feel, and a cinematic look.

He started as a commercial editor in Chicago, and he still directs with the cut in his head. From there he helped build and lead a team of filmmakers at a boutique agency focused on nonprofit and documentary work, where thin budgets and true stories taught him how to get production value out of very little, and how to get a great performance out of someone who's never been on camera.

Today he directs and cuts his own work, from automotive and athletic spots to toy commercials filmed on LED volumes running Unreal Engine. The latest AI technology is part of how he works across prep, production and post, and it's one of the ways a small budget ends up looking bigger.

Film has the power to inspire action in a way no other medium can. Telling an emotional story is the first step. Moving people to change what they do is the part he cares about most.

When he's not on set or in the edit, he's with his wife and their three kids.
